Paula Milano named Outstanding Woman in Technology and Life Science by American Electronics Association

Co-Founder and President of Axion Solutions, Inc. and Ki Solutions recognized as “Outstanding Woman in Technology and Life Science” for 2005 by AeA Orange County council.

IRVINE, CA – April 21, 2005 — Paula Milano , co-founder and CEO of Axion Solutions, Inc. and Ki Solutions, a division of Axion Solutions was named as the 2005 “Outstanding Woman in Technology and Life Science” by the American Electronics Association (AeA) Orange County Council at their 12 th annual awards celebration.

AeA introduced the award this year in order to recognize the achievements of women in the industry. “We chose Ms. Milano as the first recipient of this award not only because of her success as her company’s president, but because of her community involvement,” said Phil Beaudoin, executive director, AeA OC Council. “She has shown true commitment to promoting the career success of women.”

Both an example and a mentor to the women executives and software consultants that she employs, Paula Milano creates opportunities for advancement within her company and consistently promotes the career success of women in technology. More than half of the executives at Axion Solutions, Inc. are women. She is also committed to the professional development of all the employees at Axion and Ki Solutions.

Paula Milano is well known for giving back to the community. She is on the Board of Directors for Working Wardrobes, a non-profit agency that provides life and career services to adults in crisis and survivors of domestic violence. She is a founding member of Orange County United Way’s Women in Philanthropy. She was formerly on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Advancement Network.
